A Colorado native with more than 25 years of healthcare experience. Cherise received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis on human resources and finance as well as her master’s degree in Business Administration and Health Care Administration from Regis University. Cherise became the Chief Executive Officer for Uptown Community Health Center in 2022. Prior to becoming the Chief Executive Officer of Uptown Community Health Center, Cherise was the Director of GME Clinic Operations for St Joseph’s in Denver Colorado. The GME Clinics were Safety Net clinics that provide family, internal and OB/GYN medicine and primarily care for diverse populations, especially the poor and vulnerable from throughout Colorado.

Cherise is an innovative healthcare leader with extensive experience in primary care and multispecialty medical clinics, including administration, leadership, and strategic alignment within complex dynamic systems. With wide-spread involvement with developing, implementing, and managing, multifaceted programs to optimize organizational effectiveness with physician and health system alignment. Cherise has strong experience in areas of integrated medicine, physician development, recruitment and alignment, associate retention and satisfaction, performance management, communication, organizational development, human resources, healthcare regulatory agencies, change management, operations, and program development. Cherise has been responsible for operations of more than forty-five thousand patient encounters annually in areas of specialty of internal medicine, family medicine, surgical medicine and OB/GYN. Cherise has been responsible for liaison activities between multiple health systems throughout Colorado.

Cherise's passion is caring for those around her and ensuring everyone can have a better and healthier life. Cherise enjoys making people laugh and supporting her family and friends. Her hobbies include fishing, watching her children in sports and anything in the country or mountains.
